Week 2!

Wow! What a busy week!

This week we have started our English lessons based on the book 'Pebble in my pocket'. The children have spent time drawing observations of a pebble and labelling it with metaphors and exciting descriptive vocabulary. They then used this to inspire poetry writing! In maths, we are now focusing on place value up to 10,000 and on practising our 2, 5, and 10 times tables. We have also started our 'Incredible Earth' topic with a focus this week on how geographers divide the earth. Perhaps ask about where the equator is or what hemisphere we live in. We finished this week with Art to Start. Thank you to the parents who joined us! We had great fun creating collage volcanoes.

Quick reminder: Library trip is on Tuesday 10.30am. We are in urgent need of 2 parent helpers. Please let us know if you can help.

Children have brought home their reading records/books and spelling sheets this week. Please ensure reading books are returned daily so we can support with reading in class. TTRS log ins are in the front of the reading record. Children should practice at least 3 times a week. Thank you!
