Excellent English!

We are rocking English this week!

In English, we have finished reading A Pebble in My Pocket — a fascinating story that follows a tiny pebble’s journey through time. The children have produced some beautiful pieces of work inspired by the book, exploring how different rock formations are created and change over millions of years.

To celebrate their learning, everyone has ‘published’ their very own mini-book, retelling the story of A Pebble in My Pocket in their own words. The creativity, effort, and illustrations have been amazing!

This week, we’ve also begun working towards a new piece of writing — a 'David Attenborough' inspired narrative exploring the life of Neanderthals. The children are already imagining  and role playing what it might have been like to live in the Stone Age, hunting, gathering, and surviving in a very different world!

Team Millidine are proving themselves to be thoughtful writers, curious historians, and true storytellers.
