Team Pressley celebrating term 1...

I could not be happier with the start of our Year 5 journey, everyone is working so hard, trying their best and being kind - what more could we ask for?

Throughout the coming terms we know Team pressley will continue to grow, become more reslient and independent, things they have already started showing so far this year!

Here is what some of our Team Pressley Stars have to say about term one: 

Darcie: I found the roar project fun so far because I'm doing it with Rosie and Dolly who have made me feel happy in my first term. 

Arwen + Jacob: In term 1 I have been excited because we have done lots of writing - including the 500 word competition. And we have used our imagination to write our island narratives and excellent instructions.

Emerald: I think Term One has been a suprise - I thought it would be scary but it actually has turned out to be more fun than year 4 so far!

Saxen + Arbjana: I think term one has been fun because I've made new firends thanks to the classes being mixed up. My New firends are Will, Henry and many more. I also made new friends which I have enjoyed. I also liked learning about Fair Trade.

James + Will + Emily: Term one is fun because I love the roar project - but I also love topic, learning about Global trade including the countries we took over, that was called the British Empire! I enjoyed learning about importing and exporting around the world. We all loved the orange game and I loved baking/designing the muffins. 

Amina: I really enjoyed baking Fair Trade muffins and I agree with Emerald, I thought year 5 would be scary but itys actually not!

Rosie: I really like how on Wednesday's we do choice in the arts curriculum now. I enjoy that we can be mixed with other year groups too! 

In other news I have chosen our class captains. In year 5 we have decided to have a team leader for each house: they will be a great role model, remind everyone to put their house points up, tot up the house points on a Thursday and complete more jobs throughout the year.
