Spectacular Science day!

We recapped our learning on amazing materials by taking part in a number of experiments. We started by exploring density through piling various liquids on top of each other and observing how they would remain separate due to their differing densities. We then moved on to chemical reactions, mixing various liquids with bicarbonate of soda, washing powder and baking powder – we particularly enjoyed the reaction between vinegar and bicarbonate of soda! We then attempted to make a class lava lamp and ended the day by using our knowledge of separating materials to separate some alien soup!
