How light travels
Using our knowledge of how light travels, we created our very own periscopes...
Knowing that light travels in straight lines, and that it reflects off a surface at the same angle that it strikes, we carefully placed a pair of mirrors at 45 degree angles to create periscopes.
Working in pairs, we crafted them from a piece of card, using a protractor for the angles.
Previously, we had discussed how they are used - from submarines to soldiers in the trenches in WW1.
