Animal Art

During Term 1, Year 6 visited the Turner Art Gallery in Margate. Not only were the children able to take part in a fantastic workshop involving printing and wacky animal designs, they were also taken on a tour around the gallery. The theme at the gallery was "animals and us" - in which the children explored the impact humans can have on animal life. It also encouraged them to study and look deeper at the intricate and fascinating lives of animals.

Year 6 were inspired by the theme and picked out some of those intricacies of their favourite animals. In their display, you will see close-ups of animals. The children tried really hard to pay attention to detail and drew the part of the animal that they thought best represented it. They did a smashing job and their work is proudly displayed in the corridor by the year 6 classroom. Have a look!
