Mad about Minibeasts

WOW! We know some amazing facts about minibeasts.
This week we have learnt so much about minibeasts. We started the week by learning about what minibeasts are insects. We now know that for a minibeast to be an insect, it must have size legs, three parts to its body and an exoskeleton (a hard outer layer and no spine-invertebrate). Yes we do know all of these big words too! Later in the week we moved onto looking at minibeasts with lots of legs such as centipedes and millipedes. We had so much fun finding out how many legs they had. During the week we have completed a habitat matching activity, written about minibeasts and even created our own minibeasts out of junk modelling and art resources. Finally, at the end of the week we learnt about arachnids (scorpions and spiders) and we created some amazing web art. Please ask us to recall some facts! We have blown are teachers away.
