There will be no spellings sent home over half term as we will be starting our new spelling scheme next term.
Next term we will be studying The Natural and Human World and we are taking inspiration from land artist, Andy Goldsworthy.
We'd love it if you could make some art in the same style as Andy Goldsworthy and photograph it. Please print your photos (on paper is fine) and bring them in for display. You can also put them in your Love to Learn books.
Please see information about tomorrow's Halloween Disco. Children can come to school in Halloween fancy dress if they wish.
We had a fantastic time at Pegwell Bay, despite the odd rain shower! The children were so excited to be out exploring the local environment and spotting plants and wildlife. A huge thank you to parents who were able to support us on this trip. We couldn't do it without you, and we hope you enjoyed it too!
The Big Draw Event actually takes place on Friday 5th November at 3-4 pm. Apologies for the incorrect date, it was a type on the memo we were all sent. The date has been amended on the original post.
Please come and join us on Friday 5th of November, 3-4pm in the hall for 'The Big Draw Festival'
'The Big Draw Festival' Is a worldwide visual literacy festival dedicated to raising the profile of drawing and making as a tool for well-being, creativity and social engagement throughout society.
This year's theme is #MakeTheChange. Ms Vost will be inviting you to draw a forest with eco tape in the hall, raising awareness of how trees and tree growth can make a positive change to our lives and our world.
Please find below the spellings to practice for the week, these spellings will be going out on Monday.
These are common exception words (words you can't sound out phonetically) that we are going over in school, please practice these at home as often as you can.
Just a reminder to start collecting materials for our Bug Hotels that we'll be making on Monday.
As you will have seen from the email sent yesterday, Team Holloway are going to Pegwell Bay next Wednesday.
We will be taking a packed lunch.. Please use the sign-up sheet on the classroom door to let us know whether your child would like a school packed lunch or if you would prefer to provide your own. Please let us know by Friday morning at the latest so that we can give the kitchen staff plenty of notice.

Following on from their work looking at spirals and then cobwebs, Team Holloway have been busy with Ms Vost making clay snails this week. I think you'll agree that they're marvellous!
