We designed and built a rollercoaster to investigate potential and kinetic energy!
We spent the day learning about kinetic and gravitational potential energy. We then made rollercoasters and tried to create enough kinetic energy for our coasters to do a loop-the-loop! We discovered that the more gravitational potential energy an object has, (the higher it is) the more kinetic energy it has (the faster it will go).
