Hooray! It's Friday!

Good morning, Team Amin! Our final day of blogging! What a journey it has been this year in Year 4. Who could have predicted we would spend three whole terms (and a bit) away from each other. I have to say though, it has been a real privilege to get to know you, to teach you and to have been a part of your RAPS school journey! You had all grown into even more incredible individuals in the few months Mrs Fox, Mrs Ivan and I had you inside the classroom of Team Amin and I know that you will have grown even more (not just in height) during lockdown at home. Miss Dannell has an amazing group of children coming to her and I cannot wait to hear and see what you get up to! One last hurrah – today I leave you with a mix of normal (ish) and free choice tasks, all of which are well deserved! You don't need to do all of them, but if you are looking for things to do today - here you are! I hope to see you all next week at our picnic but if you are unable to come, I wish you the very best summer holiday! Stay safe, have fun, keep smiling and I WILL see you in September! Miss Amin xxx

PS: If you are coming to the picnic, PLEASE bring any class CORE TEXT BOOKS) that you borrowed at the start of lockdown so we can tick you off the list and have all books ready for new classes next school year! THANK YOU!

Spelling: You’re testing yourself on the words from last week: T6W6! This is the final spelling test of the year! Good luck!

Maths: The Emoji Challenge! One last practice of your basic addition and subtraction. I would suggest trying the 2 or 3 chilli as this is more Year 4 level! Can you crack the code?

Art: What is your best/favourite memory from your time in Year 4? Is it from inside the classroom, during the Arts curriculum, a trip? Draw/paint a picture of this memory!

Reading: Take 20 minutes to read some more of whatever book you have been reading. You can also use this time to catch up with any of the audio class readers in our Home Learning area. I've finished recording Varjak Paw!

TV: Watch an episode of Blue Planet or Horrible Histories (if you enjoy them) on BBC IPlayer. Pick 3 of your favourite moments/facts that you learnt from the episode and note them down in your workbook!

QUIZ: Big End of Year Around the World Quiz! Do you know the answers? Will you learn something new? Don’t forget to put the Powerpoint in slide show mode!

Help out at home: How can you help your adult today? Do you need to clean your room before the weekend? Could you do the washing up for everyone today? Maybe you need to just hug your adult?

Google Earth: Go onto Google Earth and see if you can find these places in this order! –

a) Your home

b) The part of the sea closest to your home!

c) Ramsgate Arts Primary School

d) Margate (and Dreamland!)

e) Stonehenge

f) The Great Barrier Reef (and as you zoom in, the Chicken Reef!)

g) The Pyramids of Giza (3D mode is amazing for this)

h) The Great Wall of China (Can you trace all the way along its length and find where it starts and ends?)

i) Thor’s Well in Oregon, USA

j) Everest Base Camp, Nepal (Can you spot the Khumjung Temple too?)

k) The weirdest, most amazing place you can find!

Golden Time: What would you like to do now? Choose and have fun! It is the end of your day!
