New Core Text

We have begun a new core text in English... The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane is one of my absolutely favourite books! Over the rest of the term we will be working through the book as a class, unpicking the choice of vocabulary, inferring meaning in characters' actions and making predictions. In addition, our writing will be based on the events in the book. Already, the children are thinking about writing from a character's perspective, considering their different viewpoints and opinions about key events.
