Class Assembly - Diwali

The children had learned all about this Hindu festival during the previous week in our RE topic. The main part of the assembly was the children re-telling the story of Rama and Sita as this is the origin for the festival of lights. In addition, the children got to showcase some of their learning, such as their diyas (small pots to contain the lights from the festival's name), Rangoli patterns and their greetings cards. Considering they did not spend too much rehearsing, they were amazing and should be proud of themselves for performing in front of the rest of the school.
