Home Learning, Wednesday 1st July
Well, the cat is out of the bag and it looks like I will soon have some of you back at school for a week. I hope you are looking forward to it as much as I am. Until then, please find your home learning for today below. If things don't take your fancy, why not look back over some of the other blog posts for the term to see if there's anything else that you would like to do?
PE: 10 fitness games for kids during lockdown. Check them out and see if you like any.
Mental Maths: Wednesday Daily 10
Maths: IALT investigate and explain cubed numbers
Because volume is the measure of space inside a 3D shape we can measure it in cm cubed. So, let's have a look at cubed numbers today.
Maths Challenge: Reasoning problems involving squares and cubes.
Attached is a tricky worksheet. You will need to bring all of your problem solving skills to the table to tack these tricky questions.
English: IALT draft a persuasive poster
Today you will put your advertising skills to the test. Think about your favourite toy, object or game. Think about why you like it, what makes you keep using it and how you would recommend it to friends. Now design an advertising poster to convince your friends to try or buy your chosen object. I would go back to Monday's blog and look back over the powerpoint as a reminder. I have attached a sheet to help you.
Topic: 50 space activities for primary school pupils
Check out this website. It has 50 activities related to space. There is a huge variety of things to do. I would like you to pick ONE activity of your choice for your topic learning today. Remember to post pics to Padlet or email them through to me if you can.
