Our Precious World

In topic this week, Year 6 pupils have explored the effects of climate change on the polar regions and on coral reefs...

The learning really built on the dangers we explored earlier in the year, when we had our school 'Environment Day'. In lessons this week, we learned that climate change and global warming are undoubtedly causing the ice caps to melt; consequently, the rising sea levels and increases in the oceans' temperatures can have far-reaching ramifications. These were explored as well as the 'bleaching' of coral reefs that is becoming a more regular occurrence.

The children have done some wonderful learning in their books and, as a year group, continue to demonstrate great care in the presentation of their learning. They should all be very proud of themselves.
