Poems and art in English
Building on the themes from our book, 'Floodland', the children have created poetry using a variety of poetic devices...
Using alliteration, similes, metaphors and personification, the children produced a three-verse narrative poem telling of a calm, proud and content sea, becoming polluted and 'attacked' by humanity before rising up and getting revenge.
To support this, the children have created seascape artwork using pastels - upon which, their finished poems will be mounted. The picture above shows Oscar's brilliant artwork.
