What are vertebrates? Team Hayzelden's Topic Learning

This blog post has been written by Amelia and Libby.

This week in Topic we have been learning about vertebrates and invertebrates. We learnt that vertebrates are animals that have spines, and can be classified into amphibians, mammals, reptiles, birds and fish. In the next learning, we learnt that invertebrates are animals without a spine. These can be classified into insects, arachnids, molluscs, crustaceans, annelids and echinoderms.

Fun Fact: 97% of animals on Earth are invertebrates!
