With recent events, it is more important than ever to ensure the children understand what modern multicultural Britain means, and what the real faith of Islam is about. British values - which are reflected by our own school values - highlight diversity as a highly-cherished and fundamental element of our country, which should be celebrated. As such it is important to explore and understand differences. In RE this week the children will be looking at key elements of the Islamic faith, and applying the ideas to their own lives. Today for example, the children re-visited the 5 pillars, then thought about what their own key pillars would be to help them lead good and rewarding lives now and in the future.
