This week's maths

I (Mr Jones) taught half of blue room's maths this week. The class were a joy to teach, and we had fun looking at positional language and the number 4 and 5. We learnt lots of words relating to positional language and played lots of games where either our good friend, Fred the frog, our good friend the plastic bear, or the children themselves moved around learning the words. We did lots of counting, subitising and also represented 4 and 5 in many ways. My favourite was drawing an animal with 4 legs and labelling the legs.
