RE- Buddhism in Year 4

This week in Team Bullard...
During personal development week we have been learning about Buddhism.
Who the Buddha was, how he became the Buddha, the teachings of Buddhism and the significance of Vesak Day, also known as Buddha day.
Vesak celebrates the Buddha reaching enlightenment by using the 'middle way' after his time with the 5 ascetics.
After a discussion about why balance, moderation and harmony are key to Buddhism, the children then created their own lanterns for Vesak Day, coming up on the 12th May.
Brilliantly, many of the children adorned their lanterns with many decorations and gold glitter to look like the Buddhist artefacts we had seen earlier in the week. Have a look at their amazing work below !
