Can you knot?

Knots, knots and knots !
Today in Team Bullard we tried tying eight, square and clove hitch knots ahead of making our own mini-sun shelters out of sticks and twigs in tomorrow's topic lesson.
As part of design technology, we discussed how important it is that our shelters stay upright and sturdy to best protect people and creatures from the dangers of extreme temperatures and that using rope/string effectively can help to secure our structures.
We will then test the effectiveness of our sun shelters by measuring the outside air temperature and comparing this to the inside of the shelter. If the temperature happens to be lower inside our shelter, then we will have succeeded !
