From School to Stories...

Proud Walkers, Proud Readers

Today we enjoyed a lovely visit to the local library. The children walked beautifully and represented our school so well. We were so proud of how sensibly they walked, how carefully they listened and how kind they were to one another throughout the trip.

A big thank you to the grown ups who sent in library cards for today. This really helped make the visit run smoothly and allowed the children to fully take part.

We would not have been able to go without our wonderful grown up helpers who supported us on the walk to and from the library. Thank you so much for giving up your time to help us. We really appreciate it.

Visiting the library is such an important experience for the children. It helps to build a love of books, supports early reading skills and shows children that books and stories can be enjoyed beyond the classroom. It also helps them learn how to use community spaces safely and respectfully.

We had a fantastic time and cannot wait to visit the library again next term.
