Forest School!

We’re excited to let you know that Forest School sessions for Team Cole will begin on Thursday, 24th April. The class will be split into two groups, with half attending in the morning and the other half in the afternoon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for every child in Team Cole to explore the outdoors, build new skills, and enjoy nature in a fun and hands-on way. Please find the attached letter with more information about Forest School.

A few important reminders:
Forest School runs all year round and in all weather conditions, except in the case of high winds. To make sure everyone stays safe and comfortable, it is essential that all children (and adults) are dressed appropriately for the outdoors.

The Forest School site is often muddy, even in dry weather, so children should wear old clothes that can get muddy or dirty. On Forest School days, children should not wear their school uniform. Instead, they should come to school dressed in their Forest School clothing.

Children will need:

• Suitable outdoor footwear (e.g., wellies or sturdy boots)

• Long-sleeve t-shirt and/or jumper

• Trousers (no shorts, please)

• Long-sleeve fleece or jacket

• Waterproof coat (Forest School continues even in the rain)

• Waterproof trousers, if possible

• Sun hat and sun cream (weather dependent)

  Please also pack a spare set of clothes (their school PE kit is fine) and a spare pair of shoes to change into after Forest School, as wellington boots should not be worn inside school.
