On Friday, we explored how to find the whole using our knowledge of fractions and bar models. Though it was tricky at first, we showcased our resilience and broke down each question using visual aids and a step-by-step method and found it fun in the end! Maybe we could show you how to answer questions like this at home too!

This week, we have been learning about Sikhism! We have thought about the 5Ks, core values and about why Sikhs meditate. We know Sikhs meditate to feel close to God and have discussed how meditation helps people feel peaceful and calm inside. We also know meditating and taking deep breaths can help us with big emotions. Ask us all about it!
We paired up to read books in the classroom.
We learnt about how exercise can keep our minds and bodies healthy. Then we choreographed some dance routines to present to the class. Year 2 has some good moves!
If you have any newspapers, please bring them in by Monday! We will be using them for our Art to Start!

Today, we planted sunflowers!

Year 2 really enjoyed having a look at different seeds and bulbs on Friday afternoon, learning where they are from and whether humans eat them! It was lots of fun exploring what they looked, smelt and felt like and comparing appearances. We even planted our own sunflowers! Ask us all about it!
