We have a new Topic in Year 2! Last week, after recapping our learning from our 'Healthy Body, Healthy Minds' unit from a few terms ago, we used our existing knowledge to create cue cards about how living creatures survive. We are going to use these cards to help recall facts on food chains, habitats, and living processes. We cannot wait to test our friends on our learning!
We having starting to explore measure in Year 2 this week, focusing on length and height in centimetres and metres. Today we even compared different lengths where the units were different! Ask us all about it.
What a wonderful morning we have had taking part in the Little Ships workshop in our Art lesson! We had so much fun! Ask us all about it :)
Please find attached this week's spelling for the RWI/Hybrid children and for the English chidlren! They will be given out on Friday 2nd May and children will be tested on Friday 9th May. As usual, sheets can be traded in on Friday for house points!
What a lovely afternoon out!
Spending vs. saving and needs vs. wants
We have been working on our resilience and kindness so far this week! Yesterday, we talked about how using positive and kind words can help others and ourselves develop our resilience. To put our learning into action, we undertook some tricky tasks and encouraged our partners to keep trying! We know that making mistakes is how we learn! But also... we love speed stacking in Year 2!
What a lovely way to end the term with the Easter Bonnett Parade! From us to you, have a wonderful Easter Break and we will see you back at school on Tuesday 22nd April!
Team Amin-McCurry were joined by year 5 today as they shared some fantastic fables.
Thank you parents and carers for your support!
We had a delightful trip to library on Thursday morning. The children eagerly explored shelves filled with colourful books, laughing and looking at stories, and were also able to borrow and return books. Thank you to all parents and carers who joined us! What a brilliant community library for us all!
