We are returning back to having two spellings.
Spelling sheet 1 is for those who have successfully finished the RWI program and are in Team Amin-Barnes English group.
Spelling sheet 2 is for those who are still on the RWI program and are in Team Morris for RWI.
What a superb morning meeting a Year 2 friend's Dad who is an.... author! We loved hearing all about David Whitehouse's journey and inspiration and about why he loves writing his own books so much! Did you know we have several budding writers in Year 2 who LOVE writing their own stories! Ask us all about it meeting David!
We've started working on our Art to Start in Year 2, thinking about people who are significant to us! From parents and siblings to mathematicians and musicians, we have loved drawing them out for our very own Beatles-inspired band cover! Come and take a look at our Art to Start when it goes up next week!
Please find attached this week's spelling for everyone! We will be testing your children next Friday (7th March). Please make sure spellings are practised in the best way for your child. Remember the sheet is a guide and we love seeing the creative ways everyone practices their spellings!
The RAPS Literacy Festival will be running from Monday 3rd March to Friday 7th March
Welcome back to Term 4. We hope you have had a lovely half term!
Keep an eye out on the blog to find out more about the children's learning in school! We have a short, but busy Term 4 with Personal Development Week, RAPS Literacy Festival, a Theme Day and lots of exciting new learning!
Our PE days are back to Monday and Wednesday now and a friendly reminder to ensure your child brings their reading book/folder in every day.
Year 2 team :)
What a fantastic day we had on Friday with a whole school day of Maths!
The children had a great day working systematically to create their own witches' potions with Miss Millidine, investigated a city building problem with Miss Morris, built their own robots with Mr Brown and used their new learning about money to go shopping for ingredients at Mr Brun-Cialis' magic shop! Ask them all about it :)
Today, we planted daffodils and other flowers in our school beds and planters! It was so much fun digging in the soil and placing the bulbs around the playground. Everyone was so excited to help, and we can't wait to see the beautiful flowers growing! Thank you again to our parents and carers who were able to help!
Please find attached the spellings for week 5! The children will be tested on these spellings on Friday 14th February.
Money in Year 2!
