Team Amin-McCurry (Yr2)

Our inspiration for Term 2’s Art to Start was Andy Goldsworthy! We explored his sculptures, discussing the materials he uses and the locations his art is found in. We now know Andy makes sculptures using natural materials in UK and around the world including in forests, fields or cities. We talked about our favourite pieces and why we preferred them, before leaving the classroom and trying to be like Andy Goldsworthy ourselves! Outside, we used natural materials such as stones, conkers, sticks, leaves and mud to create our own sculpture. Our sculptures included a classroom, a clock, flowers and spirals!

Next week is Kindness Week at RAPS

We enjoyed an impromptu reading session with Team Piper last week, it was lovely to meet the new children in our school and to share some of our favourite stories with them. It really helped build our confidence with reading and we hope to do it agai

We loved our Maths lesson on Friday in Year 2! We practised our counting in 5s with our partners and then used the Ipads to play games to help us solve lots of different x5 questions!
